Doug Blanchard
Owner, CFO & Designer | Forged Properties
As the CFO, designer, and co-owner of Forged Properties, I bring over a decade of experience in real estate investing, home building, and renovations to everything we do. What began as a personal passion for construction and design has grown into a business built on trust, craftsmanship, and a clear mission: to deliver homes that are not only beautiful, but lasting and smart investments.
At Forged Properties, we specialize in custom homes, residential construction, and real estate investing, and our work revolves around one guiding principle—be thoughtful in everything, and never overlook the details. From our initial consultations to final walkthroughs, we take pride in going beyond surface-level solutions. We dig deep, ask the right questions, and stay hands-on through every phase of the process.
In my role as CFO, I manage the financial health of our projects, ensuring each one is strategically sound, budget-conscious, and geared toward long-term value. As our lead designer, I approach every build and renovation with a creative eye and a practical mindset—curating spaces that are not only visually stunning but truly livable. It's in the details where good homes become great ones, and we never cut corners.
Before founding Forged Properties, I spent 11 years serving as a professional firefighter, earning certifications in Paramedicine, Swift Water Rescue, Hazardous Materials Response, and a degree in Fire Science. That experience taught me how to perform under pressure, lead with integrity, and always stay solution-focused—traits that now serve our clients in every project we take on.
I've had the opportunity to work on a wide range of properties, including single-family homes, multi-family investments, courthouse step purchases, HUD homes, short sales, and full ground-up builds. That breadth of experience means I can walk into any home and confidently answer: Is this a good investment? Was this done correctly? How difficult is this to fix?
When I'm not working, I enjoy staying active (I recently completed my first half-marathon), traveling, and spending time with the people I love. I believe that a well-designed home is more than just a place to live—it’s a foundation for a better life, and often a powerful tool for building generational wealth.
